ISSPAM 2021 AAP Winners

In 2021, ISSPAM launched 11 calls for projects leading to the funding of 15 projects (see below) some PAAs had no response while others funded a larger number of projects.

AAP_ Support for the initiation of innovative and collaborative projects

The ISSPAM's objective is to promote scientific exchanges and to encourage the emergence of new collaborative projects. The call for projects (AAP) "Seed" is part of this objective. Its purpose is to allow the initial development of innovative and collaborative research or training projects within the Institute.
The "Seed" PAA has a total budget of 80 k€. Each selected project will be granted up to 20 k€ over a period of 12 months. This amount will be managed (within ISSPAM) by one of the partners involved in the project, which will be defined by the applicants.

AAP_Flash projects "Public Health Sciences

Current events show the need for a certain reactivity of research in public health science to provide an answer to certain public health problems. The "Flash" AAP aims to support research projects that aim to develop a rapid response to a public health issue of significant relevance. The projects submitted must meet at least two of the following criteria: interdisciplinarity, inter-teams, innovation, attractiveness, socio-economic and cultural links.
The "Flash" PAA takes place on a "rolling" basis during each calendar year. It has a total budget of 40 k€. Each selected project will be granted up to 10 k€ over a period of 12 months (consecutive, maximum limit).

AAP_Mobility incoming junior and senior

This mobility grant is intended to support the temporary hosting of a foreign researcher or teacher in one of the ISSPAM teams.
The objective of this call for proposals for ISSPAM is to reinforce its attractiveness and to encourage the structuring of international partnerships.
Two grants for incoming mobility may be awarded in 2021.
The aim is to provide each selected researcher or teacher with financial support of 2,000 euros, mainly to cover travel and accommodation expenses, and possibly other living expenses.

This mobility grant is intended to support the hosting of a researcher or teacher from ISSPAM in an academic or non-academic institution (university, private institution, association, socio-cultural...) abroad.
The objective of this call for proposals is to encourage ISSPAM to structure international partnerships.
Two grants for outgoing mobility may be awarded in 2021.
The aim is to provide each selected researcher or teacher with financial support of 2,000 euros, mainly to cover travel and accommodation expenses, and possibly other living expenses, for a mobility abroad.

AAP_PhD Contract

The call for proposals (AAP) "Doctoral Contract" of ISSPAM aims to support the preparation of a thesis within one of the 6 research units (ADES, AMSE, CEReSS, CNE, LPS, SESSTIM) and one of the 4 Doctoral Schools (Cognition, Language, Education - ED356 ; Espaces, Cultures, Sociétés - ED355; Sciences Économiques et de Gestion d'Aix-Marseille - ED372; Sciences de la Vie et de la Santé - ED62) constituting the research environment of ISSPAM.
The projects submitted must be in line with at least one of the ISSPAM "pillars": interdisciplinarity, inter-teams, innovation, attractiveness, socio-economic and cultural links. The selected project will be granted a doctoral contract (see below) for a period of 36 months.

AAP_Bourses to go to a thematic school

This mobility grant is intended for doctoral students whose thesis (co)supervisor is a member of one of the research teams of the Institute of Public Health Sciences of Aix-Marseille (ISSPAM) to support their participation in a thematic school, in France or abroad.
The objective of this call for projects is to allow the doctoral student to benefit from additional training but also from an opening experience.
The total budget of this call for projects, open throughout the year 2021, is 2 000 euros.
Each grant will provide financial support of up to 1,000 euros per doctoral student (registration fees, travel, accommodation).

AAP_Co-financing of a scientific event

As part of its mission to disseminate and transfer knowledge and skills in Public Health Sciences within the scientific community and to the general public, the Institute of Public Health Sciences of Aix-Marseille (ISSPAM) proposes to co-finance the organization of scientific events (symposiums, debates, actions towards patients' associations, the socio-cultural world or the general public,...) on public health sciences themes.
The objective of this call for projects is to have a structuring effect on the site, to develop its visibility and attractiveness.
The total budget for this call for projects, open throughout 2021, is 3,000 euros.
