1. What is the FSDIE social program?

The Fonds de Solidarité et de Développement des Initiatives Etudiantes (FSDIE) of the University of Aix-Marseille, in its social section, can help students with projects related to their studies and experiencing financial difficulties. Students can apply for one-off assistance after an interview with the Aix-Marseille Avignon CROUS social service, provided they have been enrolled at AMU for at least one semester.


2. What are the FSDIE social criteria?

The Commission will examine projects that fall into one of the following categories:

  • A professional integration project requiring a work placement that is difficult to combine with a seasonal job or during their year of study,
  • A coherent reorientation project within the school, validated by the relevant university authorities,
  • An academic project requiring international academic or professional mobility, the financial cost of which would not be covered by other mobility grants,
  • Another specific project related to the applicant's studies.

3. How to apply for FSDIE social :

Step 2: Make an appointment with CROUS social services

The file and all supporting documents must be presented at the appointment with the CROUS social service assistant:

Step 3: Mail your application to your BVE

The application and all the required documents must be sent to the BVE, in accordance with the deadlines set out in the application submission calendar.


Following elections to the university's central councils, in accordance with the French Education Code,

the next FSDIE Social committee meeting will take place on February 09, 2024.

The deadline for applications is January 23, 2024.


The next FSDIE commissions will take place (subject to subsequent modifications):

  • Friday March 8, 2024. Application deadline: February 27, 2024.
  • Friday March 29, 2024. Application deadline: March 19, 2024.
  • FridayApril 26, 2024. Application deadline: April 16, 2024..
  • FridayMay 24, 2024. Application deadline: May 14, 2024..
  • Friday June 21, 2024. Application deadline: June 11, 2024..

 

Stage 4: Commission decision

An award committee decides on the nature and amount of any aid granted, respecting the anonymity of the students concerned. The BVE will send an individual notification indicating the amount of any aid granted.


4. Contacting your BVE

The BVE (Bureau de la Vie Etudiante - Student Life Office) is a place to welcome and encourage the development of student activities. A genuine interface between the student and the University, the BVE provides answers to a wide range of questions.
