ISSPAM has launched 13 calls for projects for the year 2021. You will find in the table below all these calls with their title, the text and form of response to the PAA, the opening and closing date of each call.

AAP_ Support for the initiation of innovative and collaborative projects

ISSPAM's objective is to promote scientific exchanges and encourage the emergence of new collaborative projects. The call for projects (AAP) "Seed" is part of this objective. Its purpose is to enable the initial development of innovative and collaborative research or training projects within the Institute.
The "Seed" PAA has a total budget of 80 k€. Each selected project will be granted up to 20 k€ over a period of 12 months. This amount will be managed (within ISSPAM) by one of the partners involved in the project, to be defined by the applicants.

AAP_Flash Projects "Public Health Sciences

Current events show the need for a certain reactivity of research in public health science to provide an answer to certain public health problems. The "Flash" call for proposals aims to support research projects that aim to develop a rapid response to a public health issue of significant topicality. The projects submitted must meet at least two of the following criteria: interdisciplinarity, inter-teams, innovation, attractiveness, socio-economic and cultural links.
The "Flash" call for proposals will be held on a "rolling" basis during each calendar year. It has a total budget of 40 k€. Each selected project will be granted up to 10 k€ over a period of 12 months (consecutive, maximum limit).

AAP_Support for the preparation of the response to a call for tenders

ISSPAM aims to optimize the chances of success for the submission of projects by members of the institute. The "Support" call for projects (AAP) is part of this objective. It aims to support the preparation of responses to national, European or international calls for proposals (development of the project before responding to a call for proposals) for research projects or national, European or international educational projects (organisation of consortium meetings, travel of the project leader, translation, etc.).
The "Support" PAA takes place "as it happens" during each calendar year. The "Support" PAA has a total budget of 9 k€. Each successful project will be awarded up to 3 k€ over a 12 month period. This amount will be managed (within ISSPAM) by one of the partners involved in the project, to be defined by the applicants.

AAP_Mobility incoming junior and senior

This mobility grant is intended to support the temporary hosting of a foreign researcher or teacher in one of the ISSPAM teams.
The objective of this call for proposals is to reinforce the attractiveness of ISSPAM and to encourage the structuring of international partnerships.
Two grants for incoming mobility may be awarded in 2021.
The aim is to provide each selected researcher or teacher with financial support of 2,000 euros, mainly to cover travel and accommodation costs, and possibly other living expenses.

PAA_Junior and Senior Outgoing Mobility

This mobility grant is intended to support the hosting of a researcher or teacher belonging to ISSPAM in an academic or non-academic institution (university, private institution, association, socio-cultural...) abroad.
The objective of this call for projects is to encourage ISSPAM to structure international partnerships.
Two grants for outgoing mobility may be awarded in 2021.
The aim is to provide each selected researcher or teacher with financial support of 2,000 euros, mainly to cover travel and accommodation costs, and possibly other living expenses, for a mobility abroad.

AAP_Mobility incoming Master

This mobility grant is intended for students registered in a foreign university to support their hosting of a Master 2 internship (or equivalent) in one of the ISSPAM teams.
The objective of this call for projects is to reinforce the attractiveness of ISSPAM and to encourage the structuring of international partnerships.
Only one grant may be awarded in 2021.
The aim is to provide the selected student with financial support of 1,000 euros per month (not including the internship bonus) for a maximum period of 6 months.

AAP_Mobility outgoing Master

This mobility grant is intended for students in their final year of a Master's degree enrolled at Aix-Marseille University (AMU) in one of the ISSPAM Master's programmes to support their hosting in a research team abroad as part of their M2 internship.
The objective of this call for proposals is to provide the student with an experience of openness and to encourage ISSPAM to structure international partnerships.
Two grants may be awarded to support two students in 2021.
Each scholarship will provide financial support of 1,000 euros per month (not including the internship stipend) for a period ranging from a minimum of 1 month to a maximum of 3 months.

AAP_4th year thesis grant

The call for proposals (AAP) "4th Year PhD Allocation" of ISSPAM aims at supporting the completion of a PhD in progress within the ISSPAM research environment (PhD student and supervisor affiliated to ISSPAM).

AAP_PhD contract

The call for proposals (AAP) "Doctoral Contract" of ISSPAM aims to support the preparation of a thesis within one of the 6 research units (ADES, AMSE, CEReSS, CNE, LPS, SESSTIM) and one of the 4 Doctoral Schools (Cognition, Language, Education - ED356 ; Espaces, Cultures, Sociétés - ED355; Sciences Économiques et de Gestion d'Aix-Marseille - ED372; Sciences de la Vie et de la Santé - ED62) constituting the research environment of ISSPAM.
The projects submitted must be in line with at least one of the ISSPAM "pillars": interdisciplinarity, inter-teams, innovation, attractiveness, socio-economic and cultural links. The selected project will be granted a doctoral contract (see below) for a period of 36 months.

AAP_Co-Financing of post-doctoral contracts

The call for proposals (AAP) "Co-funding of a post-doctoral contract" of the ISSPAM aims to support the obtaining of a post-doctoral research contract for young graduates in Public Health Sciences.
The aim is to enable a post-doctoral student to be hosted, from October 2021, in one of the ISSPAM member research units by contributing 50% of the grant to the co-funding of the student's project, within the framework of a project co-constructed with a partner who will also provide 50% of the co-funding.
The objective is to formalize and structure institutional collaborations for ISSPAM with certain academic, socio-economic, associative, cultural or civil society actors.

AAP_Burseships to go to a thematic school

This mobility grant is intended for doctoral students whose thesis (co)supervisor is a member of one of the research teams of the Institute of Public Health Sciences of Aix-Marseille (ISSPAM) to support their participation in a thematic school, in France or abroad.
The objective of this call for projects is to allow the doctoral student to benefit from additional training but also from an opening experience.
The total budget of this call for projects, open throughout the year 2021, is 2,000 euros.
Each grant will provide financial support of up to 1,000 euros per doctoral student (registration fees, travel, accommodation).

AAP_Co-financing for the organization of a thematic school

Within the framework of training in Public Health Sciences, the Institute of Public Health Sciences of Aix-Marseille (ISSPAM) proposes to co-finance the organization of thematic schools on public health sciences topics.
The objective of this call for projects is to have a structuring effect on the site, to develop its visibility and attractiveness.
The total budget of this call for projects, open throughout the year 2021, is 6,000 euros.

AAP_Co-financing of a scientific event

As part of its mission to disseminate and transfer knowledge and skills in Public Health Sciences within the scientific community and to the general public, the Institute of Public Health Sciences of Aix-Marseille (ISSPAM) proposes to co-finance the organization of scientific events (symposiums, debates, actions towards patients' associations, the socio-cultural world or the general public,...) on public health sciences themes.
The objective of this call for projects is to have a structuring effect on the site, to develop its visibility and attractiveness.
The total budget for this call for projects, open throughout 2021, is 3,000 euros.
