University Diploma (DU) of French Language and Culture

This full-time training is a diploma course: it gives access to the University Diploma of French Language and Culture. This diploma corresponds to 30 ECTS credits (European credits) per semester for 18 hours of classes per week. Attendance is compulsory.

Organisation of the courses

Training of 18 hours per week (subject to calendar constraints) with the possibility of taking an additional workshop of 2 or 3 hours (either 20h or 21h/week), see prices at the end of the page.

  • Language courses (between 10 and 14h30 per week): Listening and reading comprehension; Speaking and writing expression.
  • A phonetics course (1h30 per week, only for beginners and intermediate levels)

At the end of each semester, students receive a transcript of grades and can obtain the "Diplôme Universitaire (DU) de Langue et Culture françaises" from the University of Aix-Marseille for the level they have completed.

Students are placed in language groups adapted to their level (maximum 20 students per group). Qualified and experienced teachers are in charge of 6 different levels, in line with the levels defined by the Council of Europe (CEFR).
