Talents

The A*Midex Foundation intends to support the transformation of the Aix-Marseille site's training offer by acting on the quality of training and its attractiveness, particularly internationally. It supports the experimental actions of the site's researchers and teacher-researchers in the direction of a dual objective:

  • The transformation and pedagogical innovation
  • The training, attraction and perpetuation of talent

1.    Training and success

The role of the A*Midex Foundation is to support the university and schools of the site in their dynamic transformation and educational innovation. As an Initiative of Excellence, it works in coherence with the major projects stemming from the Investing the Future France 2030 Program by deploying several calls for projects within the Academy of Excellence program.

  • The Academy of Excellence program

Already launched three times (2013, 2014, 2017), it has become a quality label for the scientific and educational community. This program developed for a period of 3 years (2021-2024) is endowed with a budget of 3 M€. It is based on the following devices:

The PAA Transformation of training through research aims to transform the Master's level training offer by strengthening the link between fformation and research around one or more reinforcements.

  • Call for Projects " Promote the reorientation of students through the creation of gateways" (launch: September 2023)

2.   Training and welcoming in a globalized context

The Academy of Excellence program accompanies the site's approach in its desire to integrate contemporary societal challenges into the training of students and teachers, while developing the site's international potential by capitalizing on the hybridization of training:

  •  Call for projects"Taking into account the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in training" (launch: September 2022)
  •  Call for projects "mobility and hybridization"(launch September in 2022)

3.    Attractiveness and individualized development

Attracting and retaining the best talent on the Aix-Marseille site is one of the main objectives of A*Midex. Through various programs, A*Midex offers a privileged research and teaching space by developing the scientific environment offered to new researchers and facilitating their access to technological platforms.

  • The "Chairs of Excellence" program

The Chairs of Excellence program offers a privileged incoming mobility environment with the opportunity to conduct a research and/or teaching project funded over three years (renewable for two years). In particular, it allows the recruitment of a research/teaching team.

  • The "Talent Management" program.

The Talent Management program is dedicated to attracting and integrating talent on the Aix-Marseille University site, it notably allows for the integration of teacher-researchers and researchers from the Aix-Marseille site who are winners of the European Research Council (ERC).

  • The IMéRA "Mediterranean" program

A*Midex also allows since 2018 the Mediterranean Program of IMéRA, directed by Thierry Fabre, to host renowned residents, around Mediterranean studies and contribute to the influence and international attractiveness of the Aix-Marseille site.

  • CIVIS3I

The CIVIS3i project, entitled "The CIVIS Alliance Programme for International, Interdisciplinary, Intersectoral Research and Training for Experienced Researchers," proposes a CIVIS-wide post-doctoral attraction, mobility and training program.

One of the challenges of the current structuring of the site is to support talent in the development of their careers

The Excellence Initiative will also provide structural support for access to an academic career for people with disabilities. Since 2020, in order to promote the pursuit of doctoral studies by students with disabilities and success in doctoral studies, the program incorporates an action allowing the funding of doctoral contracts in support of the Ministry of Education's policy, and individualized support for all doctoral students with disabilities at Aix-Marseille University

Beyond the recruitment phase, as provided for in the project IDeAL "Integration and Development at Aix-Marseille throught Learning" , offering complementary and necessary training tools for their inclusion in an increasingly competitive international environment. In this sense, the excellence initiative will rely on the IDeAL project, to offer the site's teacher-researchers expertise and valorization in the management of innovative pedagogies, particularly in the framework of its talent development school, also open to all staff

The Panorama Project will implement the communication strategy to harmonize the information offered by all partners and mobilize the field;
Will deploy its activities to all target high schools. The "test ton sup" action will be experimented in the form of immersion on campuses with fun formats, mobilizing the training components.

The  projectAmpiric will evolve the training offer in master's degree, especially the pre-professionalization teaching units, as well as in continuing education, in connection with La Cardie and the Réseau Canopé, concerning differentiated pedagogy. An evaluation framework will be put in place, in connection with the rectorate.

The DREAM-U project will finalize the actions of the experimentation phase in preparation for the Go / No Go evaluation scheduled for 2023.
