This month, the A*Midex Foundation has accredited 5 new projects for a total amount of approximately 1.9 M€ which applied for the calls for Chair of Excellence, Equipment - Research and Transfer - Engineering and European projects.

CASSANDRA - Cultural and artistic social enterprises for sustainable and democratic transitions
A project led by Francesca Petrella Lest within the Laboratory of Economics and Sociology of Work in partnership with the Center for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra (Portugal) and Culture Action Europe (Belgium).

Chair of excellence 2022
For thecall Chair of Excellence the objective is to enable the research units, components or schools of the Aix-Marseille site to attract and retain scientific and teaching talent of international standing:
1 new project has been accredited.
- Mrs Sarah Moyonfor her project "Oligodendroglial cell lineage in aging and in disease" at the Institute of Neurophysiopathology (INP).
Her project aims to strengthen the teams and create new ones to study, on a fundamental level, neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental diseases, in particular by characterizing the role of oligodendroglial cells on neuronal function and cognitive capacities.

Equipment - Research 2022
For the second wave of thecall Equipment - Researchthe objective of which is to support research units on the Aix-Marseille site that wish to acquire new equipment to develop and strengthen their capacity to implement their research programs:
3 projects have been approved for a total amount of more than €1.3 million:
- MultiDyn - Multiphoton imaging of the dynamics of multicellular systems
A project led by Pierre-Francois Lenne at the Marseille Institute of Developmental Biology (IBDM)

A project led by Latifa Elantak in the Laboratory of Macromolecular Systems Engineering (LISM)
Budget financed by A*Midex: 325 000 €. - 3Dmedprint - 3D printing of realistic models for biomedical and health applications
A project led by Julien Favier in the Mechanics, Modeling and Clean Processes Laboratory (M2P2)
