Attracting the best talents to the Aix-Marseille site is one of the strong objectives of A*Midex. Through various programs, A*Midex is able to offer a privileged research and teaching environment and thus encourage the incoming mobility and integration of new talent within the research units and teaching and research components of the Aix-Marseille site.
The A*Midex Foundation has set up several programs dedicated to attracting and developing talent:
The "Chairs of Excellence" program
The Chairs of Excellence program offers a privileged environment for incoming mobility with the opportunity to carry out a research and/or teaching project financed over three years (renewable for two years). In particular, it allows the recruitment of a research/teaching team.
Targeted calls for projects: Targeted calls for projects are addressed to research units, components or schools (Centrale Marseille, Sciences-po Aix) on the Aix-Marseille site.

-Consult the call for Chairs of Excellence 2020 (call closed)
Direct call for applications open widely : The call for direct applications is aimed at outstanding teachers, researchers and teacher-researchers wishing to join the Aix-Marseille site. One Chair of Excellence position is reserved for people with disabilities.
The "Chairs of Excellence" programme - specific to European Research Council (ERC) laureates
The A*Midex Foundation also offers favourable conditions for hosting ERC project leaders on the Aix-Marseille site. This action is not the subject of a specific call for proposals, but rather of an ongoing examination of applications.
ERC Excellence Chair projects can be carried out by research units, components or schools (Centrale Marseille, Sciences-po Aix) of the Aix-Marseille site or be proposed directly by ERC award winners.

The "Talent Management" programme
The Talent Management programme is dedicated to the attraction and integration of talent on the Aix-Marseille University site. It has several targets, including attracting external research engineers with rare and sought-after technical skills, and integrating teacher-researchers and researchers from the Aix-Marseille site who are winners of the European Research Council (ERC).
IMéRA's "Mediterranean" programme
Since 2018, A*Midex has also enabled IMéRA's Mediterranean Programme, directed by Thierry Fabre, to host renowned residents, around Mediterranean studies and to contribute to the influence and international attractiveness of the Aix-Marseille site.

Disability doctoral contracts
In 2020, in order to encourage the pursuit of doctoral studies by students with disabilities and their success in the doctoral program, the program includes an action allowing the financing of four doctoral contracts and the extension of doctoral contracts, in support of the MESRI policy.
The CIVIS3i project, entitled "The CIVIS Alliance Programme for International, Interdisciplinary, Intersectoral Research and Training for Experienced Researchers", proposes a programme for the attraction, mobility and training of post-doctoral students at the CIVIS level.
