Attractiveness & Talents

Attracting the best talents to the Aix-Marseille site is one of the strong objectives of A*Midex. Through various programs, A*Midex is able to offer a privileged research and teaching environment and thus encourage the incoming mobility and integration of new talent within the research units and teaching and research components of the Aix-Marseille site.

What actions?

The A*Midex Foundation has set up several programs dedicated to attracting and developing talent:

The "Chairs of Excellence" program

The Chairs of Excellence program offers a privileged environment for incoming mobility with the opportunity to carry out a research and/or teaching project financed over three years (renewable for two years). In particular, it allows the recruitment of a research/teaching team.

Targeted calls for projects: Targeted calls for projects are addressed to research units, components or schools (Centrale Marseille, Sciences-po Aix) on the Aix-Marseille site.

The "Chairs of Excellence" programme - specific to European Research Council (ERC) laureates

The A*Midex Foundation also offers favourable conditions for hosting ERC project leaders on the Aix-Marseille site. This action is not the subject of a specific call for proposals, but rather of an ongoing examination of applications.

ERC Excellence Chair projects can be carried out by research units, components or schools (Centrale Marseille, Sciences-po Aix) of the Aix-Marseille site or be proposed directly by ERC award winners.
