Launch of the EQUIPMENT program - Research component

Within the framework of action area 1 "Consolidating EXPERIMENTS" of its roadmap 3.0 (2021-2024), the A*Midex foundation launches its call for projects "Research EQUIPMENT".
This call for projects is part of the A*Midex Foundation's " Research Training EQUIPMENT " program, endowed with 12 M€ for the 2022-2024 period. Following the launch of the "Research Component" in 2022, the "Training Equipment" call for projects will be launched in early 2023.

Objectives
The "EQUIPEMENT Recherche" call for proposals aims to support research units on the Aix-Marseille site that wish to acquire new structuring equipment to develop and strengthen their capacity to implement their research programs.
What does the "Research Equipment" call for proposals finance?
The "Research Equipment" call for projects has a budget of €10M over a period of 3 years, and will allow the following expenses to be financed
- Investment expenses: allowing the acquisition of equipment and materials.
- Operating expenses up to 20% of the total amount of funding requested from A*Midex.

Type of projects expected
Two types of projects may be submitted to this call for proposals:
- Projects based on an application submitted but not selected in the framework of the AMI EquipEx+ 2021. The funding granted will be between 500 k€ and 1 M€ per project for a maximum duration of 3 years.
- New projects involving the acquisition of equipment. The funding granted may be between €200k and €500k per project for a maximum of 3 years.
Target audience
The call for projects "Research Equipment" is aimed at researchers and teacher-researchers of the Aix-Marseille site.

Applicants must provide a complete file presenting their project (activities and budget). This file will be submitted for analysis and evaluation.
Calendar
- Opening of the call for projects: April 14, 2022 at noon, Paris time.
- Deadline for submission of project proposals: June 6, 2022 at noon, Paris time.
- Announcement of the winning projects: October 2022
- Start of the first projects: November 2022
