The CIVIS Open Labs

Anchored in the heart of its territory, the Open Lab is an incubator for citizen-oriented projects. By initiating dialogue with local stakeholders, these work spaces allow for the joint exploration and development of solutions to local and regional challenges.

In concrete terms, the CIVIS AMU Open Lab is already:

• A multidisciplinary team, with expertise in entrepreneurship, academia, associations, and service learning
• 4 high-impact projects:
  Vénères & Solidaires and GET LIT, 2 educational projects that recognize the potential of young people, who are already actors in the world of tomorrow.
  Interstice and Smart & Civic Port, 2 associative urban planning projects that bet on collective intelligence and urban democracy to build the city of tomorrow together.
• A network of transition actors: a dozen public and private members of the CIVIS Local Advisory Council
• A privileged access to 9 cities, 9 universities and 9 European Open Labs

The second call for projects

This second call for projects is open to teachers-researchers, students and staff of Aix-Marseille University and local actors in the Aix-Marseille area. The projects supported will benefit from assistance in setting up projects and innovation, international visibility and a possible "CIVIS" label.

2. Deadline for submission of applications = Sunday 31 October before midnight

3. Response to project leaders = Wednesday, December 1, 2021

4. Project launch meeting: early January 2022

5. Project implementation period = 8 months
