The great return of the delegations!

Délégation allemande

On September 30, AMU will have the pleasure of welcoming its first delegation since the beginning of the health crisis linked to Covid-19, which greatly reduced cross-border travel.

The return of travel, which has been greatly reduced in recent months due to the pandemic, will be marked by the arrival at AMU of a delegation of 20 presidents, vice-presidents and chancellors of German universities. This meeting, which will take place on 30 September and 1 October, has been organised by the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdiesnt (DAAD), which is responsible for academic and university exchanges in Germany, and by the cooperation unit of the International Relations Department.

Germany is Aix-Marseille University's leading partner in research and training thanks to its numerous agreements and exchanges of students, doctoral students and teacher-researchers.

This Franco-German meeting, representative of the driving force of European cooperation, will allow the various representatives of German universities to learn more about the functioning and opportunities offered by AMU. After a warm welcome by President Eric Berton, the delegation will have the opportunity to discover AMU's internationalization strategy, presented by Giovanna Chimini, the Vice President of International Relations, as well as theCIVIS European University coordinated by AMU, presented by Marie Wittamer, its administrative director, and Jean-Marc Pons. Thereafter, successive presentations of the training and research offer will take place in order to allow the delegation to have a broad overview of the disciplinary fields in which AMU demonstrates excellence and to stimulate, develop and even create new inter-university cooperation.

This visit will conclude, of course, with a visit to the cities of Aix-en-Provence and Marseille.
