Missions

As of January 1ᵉʳ, 2024, a new administrative structuring of training and student life is in place within AMU. 
The DEVE is being transformed into two new departments, the Direction de la Formation on the one hand and the Direction de la Vie Étudiante et de Campus (DVEC) on the other. 
The main missions of the DVEC are to oversee student life in its entirety and to coordinate campus activities.
The DVEC is responsible for driving forward and implementing student life projects within the school, in collaboration with the Vice-President (VP) in charge of student life. 
She proposes and contributes to the development of student life strategy (student life master plan, etc.) in conjunction with the Vice President for Education, the Vice President for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the General Manager for Education & Internationalization and the VP for Students. She works closely with the VPs and departments involved in student life, as well as with the various components. 
It works regularly with the CROUS, the Rectorat and institutional partners, including local authorities. 
She is in charge of programming and monitoring the CVEC (Contribution de vie étudiante et de campus), the FSDIE projects and social funds, as well as organizing commissions and the Comité Vie Étudiante (COVE).

DVEC organization :

3 units :

• Cellule Pilotage Vie Étudiante (CVEC, FSDIE, projects, precariousness, maisons de l'étudiant)
   
• Cellule Engagement Étudiant (research and development of partnerships, events, DU engagement étudiant, support and promotion of student social actions, development of student learning and skills).
   
• Cellule Administrative (budget preparation and monitoring, human resources, organization of commissions, COVE and liaison with DIRFOR for CFVU).
   
• 5 Campus Student Life Offices (BVE) on the Aix, Marseille center, Timone, Luminy and Étoile campuses, also in charge of off-site locations. 
  The BVEs welcome students, particularly those with disabilities, as well as student associations, to help them set up, run and develop their projects, and to promote campus activities.
  Student Information Coordinators (ERI) and Student Disability Coordinators (ERH) welcome and support students.
• 2 campus centers: L'Hexagone Luminy and Le Cube Schuman, and the future Maisons de l'étudiant (Saint-Charles and Saint-Jérôme).
