Wednesday, November 16, 2022

Event open to researchers, teacher-researchers, students of ITEM and AMUTech

ITEM_sobirété

After the interest shown during the "Sobriety" workshop of the ITEM Annual Days,
The Institutes ITEM and AMUtech invite the researchers, the teachers-researchers, the students
On November 16th, 2022
Objective: to bring together the actors of the socio-economic world and those of the academic and research worlds, in a perspective of collaboration and multidisciplinary partnership around the theme "Sobriety: for a new way of innovating".
For the students: a better knowledge of the problems and needs of the socio-economic world, professional and internship opportunities, learning by doing through future case studies related to this theme.

"An old concept but more relevant than ever, "sobriety" does not have a fixed definition and encompasses multiple realities through frugality, simplicity, zero waste, efficiency, energy sobriety, or deconsumption. The common denominator of these various approaches is the search for moderation in the production and consumption of products, materials or energy." - Ademe

Meeting organized by:
ITEM and AMUTECH Institutes, in partnership with ADEME in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur

For whom?
Economic actors, actors of the academic and research world, students of ITEM and AMUTech Institutes

Back to the ITEM 2022 Annual Days

Written by Sophie Pekar - Published on 30 August 2022

The Institut ITEM organized, in May/June 2022, the third edition of its "Annual Days".

These Days, which are a key moment in the life of the Institute, are intended for our teachers, researchers and students, but also for any person interested in our actions in favour of the Environmental Transition. They are the occasion to reaffirm our missions and to deploy our vision of a research and a training always more innovative.

Thank you to all the participants thanks to whom these two days were a great success. It reinforces our belief in the need to continue these exchanges and to strengthen the role of the Institute within training.

A day of plenary sessions for an innovative format

The first day, May 9, 2022, was devoted to a review of a year rich in actions for the Institute, whose sustained momentum has enabled it to launch several calls for projects (research and training, field school, etc.) and to be particularly present and open to opportunities for additional funding (Tiger, AAP Interdisciplinarity ...).

The success of the presentation of the research projects lay in the format chosen, which reflected the particularities of each project: from an interdisciplinary perspective, the angle of the project's contribution to the Environmental Transition, the partnership with the socio-economic world, participatory science and the educational aspects.

Let's also salute the M2 trainees who accepted to participate in the presentations and boldly took the floor in front of an audience of renowned researchers.

And thank you to all our young researchers hired since the launch of the Institute: Flor Regus, Rayhane Hamrouni, Thang Duong Quoc LE, Camille Godbillot, Camille Rigal, Noëlle Sarkis, Santiago Parra, Adria Penà, Tom Girard, Sarah Wagon, Youssef Lamwati, Laura Picard

Workshops of reflections under the prism of the link "research / training" - themes: sobriety / risks / participatory sciences

The second day, organized on May 20, 2022, was dedicated to collective intelligence workshops on three complex themes at the heart of current events in society, selected beforehand because they were identified as critical and levers for the Environmental Transition: Sobriety, Risks and Environmental Transition, Participatory Sciences. The "research/training" link was also at the heart of these workshops, with the Institute working to become the key reference for Aix Marseille University in terms of training for the Environmental Transition.

Back to the ITEM 2021 Annual Conference - Video of the best-of and illustrated reports

Written by Sophie Pekar - Published on 20 October 2021

The Institut ITEM organized, in June 2021, the second edition of its "Annual Days". These 3 half-days in distanciel were intended for our teachers, researchers and students, but also for any person interested in our actions in favour of the Environmental Transition.
A plenary day as a first assessment

The first day, May 28 afternoon, was devoted to the presentation of the various actions coordinated by the Institute during its first year of operation, and of new partnership opportunities. A rich day, punctuated by the interventions of project leaders and their feedback.

Workshops for reflection and co-construction of future projects

The other two half-days, on June 7 and 8, consisted of workshops on themes related to the environmental transition. The objective? To collectively question these current topics related to the Institute's research and teaching areas, in order to bring a new perspective that will encourage the emergence of future projects.

Topics chosen collectively thanks to a preliminary survey: the consultation carried out beforehand made it possible to identify the key words illustrating the points of interest of the participants, in order to better target their expectations, and 3 distinct workshops emerged from it:

  • Workshop n°1 "Environmental transition in times of crisis
  • Workshop n°2 " The link between research and training: what actions within ITEM?
  • Workshop n°3 " The City in Transition ".
