Understanding the diversity and functioning of the microbial world, either at the molecular, cellular, ecosystem levels or through its close association with other organisms (plants, microbiota, etc.), is a source of scientific knowledge that is essential for the development of biotechnological solutions for energy production, for environment and for health. In this context and with these objectives the institute of Microbiology, Bioenergy and Biotechnology (IM2B) brings together interdisciplinary research, education, and a unique technological facilities network, to reinforce our visibility and international attractiveness.
