Governance body
The implementation of the Initiative of Excellence is ensured by a university foundation, the A*Midex Foundation, placed under the responsibility of the Board of Directors of Aix-Marseille University. It is chaired by Mr. Éric Berton, President of Aix-Marseille University.

1. The college of representatives of the institution, composed of (6 seats):

- The Vice President in charge of A*Midex.
- The Vice President in charge of research at the University of Aix-Marseille.
- The Director of Education of the University of Aix-Marseille.
- The General Director of A*Midex
- The Director of Financial Affairs of the University of Aix-Marseille.
