Doctoral schools

The Institute has three doctoral schools within its perimeter :

- ED 352 Physics and Material Sciences

The Doctoral School "Physics and Material Sciences" (ED 352) gathers PhD students from Aix-Marseille University (AMU) and Ecole Centrale de Marseille (ECM) working on research topics in fundamental and applied physics.
The PhD students of ED 352 carry out their research in one of the 10 laboratories of the University of Aix-Marseille or in one of the 4 research teams of the CEA Cadarache associated to the PhD school.

- ED 250 Chemical Sciences

The Doctoral School of Chemical Sciences (ED 250) brings together research units and teams in Marseille that have a recognized scientific activity in various fields: organic chemistry, physical chemistry, materials chemistry and theoretical chemistry. The École Centrale Marseille (ECM) enrolls its chemistry doctoral students in the Chemical Sciences ED as a co-accredited institution with Aix Marseille University.

- ED 353 Physics and Engineering Sciences

The Doctoral School "Engineering Sciences" (ED 353) gathers doctoral students from Aix-Marseille University (AMU) and Ecole Centrale de Marseille (ECM) working on research themes in fundamental and applied engineering sciences.
The doctoral students of ED 353 carry out their research in one of the 6 laboratories of the University of Aix-Marseille (IM2NP, IRPHE, IUSTI, LMA, M2P2, PRISM) or in one of the research teams attached to the ED of the CEA Cadarache, the IRSN Cadarache, the CReA of Salon, or the INRAe of Aix.
