As of June 4, 2020, a document "loan and return counter" service will be organized for users of Aix-Marseille University (students, lecturers and staff only) in some AMU libraries.
This service, organized in the context of the health crisis, will be exclusively by appointment to organize the flow of people on campus.
The BUs concerned, from 4 June :
- BU Fenouillères Aix: counter at the BU reception desk.
- BU Schuman Droit Aix: counter at the BU reception desk
- BU Medicine Marseille: counter on the 2nd floor of the BU
- BU Saint-Charles Marseille: counter at the BU reception desk
- BU Luminy Marseille: counter at the reception desk of the Hexagon building
- BU Saint-Jérôme Marseille: counter at the BU reception desk
The counter service extends to new BUs : BU Pharmacy and BU Bernard du Bois as of June 30, BU Inspé Aix and BU Inspé Avignon as of July 2.
Opening days:
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm.
Except BU Inspé, due to site constraints: every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 1pm.
How do I make an appointment?
- If you want to borrow documents, start by reserving online the desired references in the BU catalogue, from your reader account: instructions here. When you will have received by e-mail the confirmation that all your documents are ready, you can make an appointment to come and collect them.
- To come and collect your documents and/or return those you already have, make an appointment online to fix the date of your visit:
- BU Fenouillères, Schuman Droit, Saint-Charles, Médecine et Luminy : please use the appointment booking form Affluences (booking with your AMU email address), through the application or the website
- Other BU: contact us by mail, do not hesitate to propose time slots:

After making an appointment, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. It is to be kept because you will be asked for it when you come to the BU.
Attention: the shuttle service between BU's being suspended, you can only borrow and return documents in their original BU.
Ex:
- if you make an appointment at the BU Fenouillères, you can only borrow documents from this BU.
- If you have documents from the BU Fennelillères to return, you will have to make an appointment at the BU Fennelères to return them.
To foresee within the framework of your displacement:
- Take your appointment confirmation and your AMU card with you.
- Wearing a mask is mandatory
- Disinfection of hands on arrival with the hydroalcoholic gel at your disposal.
- If you need to borrow documents, remember to bring a bag to take them with you.
- For returns of documents, you will be asked to present your documents one by one to the staff so that they can register them, then place them on a trolley or in a cash register.
- Please note: users will not be allowed to circulate in the BU areas for health safety reasons.
