AMU invites to two key events on interdisciplinarity

Aix-Marseille University has made interdisciplinarity a challenge for innovation in many fields. Two public events will allow to discover very concrete facets of this strategic dynamic.

Firstly, on 15 June, Éric Berton, President of Aix-Marseille Université, and Denis Bertin, Deputy Vice-President of the A*Midex University Foundation, invite you to find out more about the institutes of establishment, new university objects creating bridges between teaching, research and the needs of economic and cultural players.

Three thematic round tables will present the 16 AMU institutes created to date, their concrete actions and the strengths they represent for the territory in terms of interdisciplinarity, pedagogical and scientific innovations, and expertise in the face of current crises. Coordinated by Maryline Crivello, Vice-President of the AMU Board of Directors, the presentations by representatives of these institutes and socio-economic partners will shed light on the challenges of interdisciplinarity, the stakes of scientific research and innovation, the attractiveness of university training for students, the multiple links with the territory, and the university responses that can be proposed to decision-makers in times of multiple crises.

11:05 a.m. Round Table 1: Institutional institutes and the major challenges of interdisciplinarity
11:25 Round Table 2: Institutional institutes and the attractiveness of university training
11:45 a.m. Round Table 3: Institutional institutes and their role in society

This event is an opportunity for all stakeholders to discover the singularity of the institutes of establishment and their positioning on the Aix-Marseille site, whether they are academic, institutional, industrial or socio-economic stakeholders, involved in research, training, innovation, culture or any activity that creates wealth.

Secondly, on 25 June, the launch of the Interdisciplinarity Mission, under the aegis of Maryline Crivello, Vice-President of the Board of Directors, will be an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the university's interdisciplinary strategy in its entirety. The event will be punctuated by presentations, round tables and workshops - in the presence of Éric Berton, President of Aix-Marseille Université, Antoine Petit, President-Director General of CNRS and Valérie Verdier, President-Director General of IRD.
