Aix-Marseille Université (AMU) and the MGEN, Mutuelle Générale de l'Education Nationale, have entered into a three-year partnership to facilitate access for AMU staff and students to essential information and reflections in the fields of social protection, sustainable development, prevention, the social economy and AMU's societal responsibility, among others.

The partnership agreement was signed on 22 July behind closed doors by Mr Éric Berton, President of AMU and Mr Julien Villevieille, MGEN President for the Bouches-du-Rhône department, in the presence of elected officials and members of the MGEN Bouches-du-Rhône management team.

This partnership will enable the university community to benefit from information and health prevention actions as well as material and/or financial support for key scientific events, such as "Ma Thèse en 180 secondes", the "Agir Ensemble" week or its annual sustainable development competition "DD en Trans'".

The collaboration will take the form of

  • The implementation of information and prevention stands and campaigns that will encourage direct contact with students and staff

  • Regular meetings and interventions by the MGEN, including 'Health and Well-being' meetings with experts in the field

  • Sponsorship of events and actions organized by the university
