Aix-Marseille University's talents take part in the Metropole's webinar

Since its creation, Aix-Marseille University has been oriented towards the international scene and, more particularly, towards the Mediterranean and Africa. Strengthened by this commitment, the university is proud to participate on Thursday 17 November in the webinar organised by the Metropolis: "The Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis, a springboard for African talent".

Like Aix-Marseille University, the Aix-Marseille Provence Metropolis is a melting pot of diversity and stands out for its ability to attract talent and investors from all over the world, particularly from the African continent. The objective of this webinar is to demonstrate the territory's potential to host, through initial and professional training, African students or researchers who will then be able to develop their skills in Africa and/or in France.

Of the panel of 4" Talents" invited to share their inspiring experiences and represent this dynamic, 3 were trained at Aix-Marseille University:

  • Mouhamed SECK, originally from Senegal, is the founder and CEO of Ownlabs and winner of the "Next Startup Challenge" prize. He was trained at Kedge Business School Marseille.
  • Oussama CHOUBAI, originally from Morocco, is the CEO and founder of Digitancy. He was trained at ESIL Polytech Marseille at Aix-Marseille University.
  • Messina GUIKOUME, originally from Cameroon, France and Burkina Faso, is the founder and CEO of Messibat International, and the winner of the Provence Africa Connect competition of Emerging Valley. She was trained at Aix-Marseille University and ESDJB Manosque.
  • Abdallah Nassour YACOUB, originally from Chad, is a doctoral researcher in Environmental Sciences. He was trained at Aix-Marseille University and supervised during his thesis by the IRD.

The webinar will also host three key witnesses: Wilfrid LAURIANO DO REGO, Coordinator of the Presidential Council for Africa; Didier PARAKIAN, Vice-President of the Metropolis, Delegate for International Relations; and Ms Camille AGON, Director of Trace Academia.
