Aix-Marseille Université and the Hanoi University of Science and Technology join forces to create a double degree in Chemistry with international mobility

DIRCOM-CP-AMU-USTH-2022

On the basis of the last General Assembly of the Consortium of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (USTH) held last September, an agreement uniting Aix-Marseille Université (AMU) and the USTH relating to the implementation of a double degree in Chemistry with international mobility was signed in the presence of Eric Berton, Eric Berton, President of Aix-Marseille Université, Professor Jean-Marc Lavest, Rector, Professor Giovana CHIMINI, Vice-President of International Relations of Aix-Marseille Université, Dr. Nguyen Hai Dang, President of Aix-Marseille Université, Dr. Jean-Marc Lavest, Rector, Dr. Jean-Marc Lavest, Professor Giovana CHIMINI Nguyen Hai Dang, Vice-Rector and Tran Dinh Phong, Director of the Department of Basic and Applied Sciences.

This new joint degree of Bachelor of Chemistry, Physics-Chemistry course, will facilitate the refocusing of AMU's master's activity on "Advanced Materials Sciences and Nanotechnology" and allow the preparation of doctoral theses in co-supervision. It will also involve working together on scientific research activities via an interdisciplinary chemistry/physics approach, embodying innovation and international openness.
An exchange of students and lecturers will be set up to ensure the smooth running of this program: Vietnamese students, chosen for their academic excellence and their thorough knowledge of French, will come to study in Marseille and AMU lecturers will travel to Vietnam to give face-to-face English-language courses on electrochemistry and materials for energy.
