The French and Russian governments have decided to make 2021 a year of decentralised cooperation between France and Russia. On this occasion, the Franco-Russian University, of which Aix-Marseille is an active partner, is organising the first youth forum on the theme of "environment, climate and global changes".

Postponed to March/April 2022 in Moscow
due to the health situation in the country

The Franco-Russian University (UFR), created in 2016, brings together the best Russian and French higher education institutions, including Aix-Marseille Université. As part of the year of decentralized cooperation between France and Russia, the Russian universities members of the consortium(RANEPA, RUDN, RFTA, MEPhI, ITMO) are organizing the first student forum in Moscow.

75 Russian and French students are invited for a week to develop recommendations reflecting the position of the young generation on environmental, climate and global change issues.

Program of the forum

In reaction to the postponement of the forum due to the health crisis, the organizers of the French universities of the UFR are thinking of setting up "preparatory" activities from next October in order to allow the participants to get to know each other.

These activities would precede the online sessions intended for all the guests of the forum at the end of November 2021. More information will be provided in September.

The first French-Russian University Youth Forum is postponed to March/April 2022. Each day of the Forum will be organized by one of the Russian universities members of the RFU with a unique program.

On the menu :

Conferences by representatives of Russian Ministries, the French Embassy in Russia, major companies
Intervention of renowned speakers on environmental, ecological and energy issues
Master class and business games by professors from Russian universities members of the UFR
Visits and cultural activities: discovery of Russian history, culture and traditions, visits to museums, monuments and parks of Moscow, intercultural communication and Russian language courses for beginners

All participating students will receive a Certificate of Participation at the end!

The ambassadors of the RFU Student Forum

Currently 13 students have been selected to represent AMU during the forum out of more than 60 applications! The AMU ambassadors represent the diversity of our university's components, the excellence of its teaching, its commitment to environmental issues and its Franco-Russian friendship.

Participating students will be financially compensated up to 60%.
The flight from the city of residence to Moscow, accommodation (at a special rate of 25 € per person/night), visa and health insurance for the stay as well as other expenses will be paid by the participating students.
