Resumption of face-to-face activities within AMU for staff.

Resumption of face-to-face activities within AMU for staff.

Main principles and 3 time phases of a gradual and voluntary return until June 29th

The Business Resumption Plan (BRP) within AMU has been very progressive as of May 18th and on a voluntary basis for the great majority of administrative functions.

  • Telework remains the rule until 29 June (date subject to the publication of the decree), with the health of staff and their families remaining the priority.

Therefore, the AMU PRA includes the maximum health measures to protect each staff member, while resuming, in gradual stages and for a limited number of people, the essential public service missions in a more "normal" framework.

As of May 11th, the date of the national deconfinement, the respect of barrier gestures and physical distancing measures became even more important with the wearing of masks in certain situations. The reminder of these barrier gestures is mentioned below. They are posted on all university sites, in many places, and washable and reusable "barrier" masks are distributed to the agents coming to the sites and campuses.

Take great care of yourself.

Plan of resumption of activities: the 3 phases-time of a very progressive return until June 29th

Deconfinement in 3 phases:

  • from May 11 to May 18 - is devoted to preparing for the reopening of the sites. The only presence authorized will therefore be linked to this organizational necessity: installation of plexiglass protections on the public reception areas, installation of hydroalcoholic gel containers, marking on the ground of physical distance, installation of signs, posting of sanitary measures.
  • From May 18 to June 1 - will be devoted to consolidating telework and organizing the partial resumption of face-to-face activities, for a slightly larger number of staff than in phase 1, and on a voluntary basis.
  • From 2 June until 29 June - will see a further increase in the number of staff in the field, on a voluntary basis and organised by each directorate and component, within the limits of what is reasonable in order to be able to comply, at all times, with the rules on health safety.
  • On June 29th, the return of all of them to the classroom is envisaged, unless this is impossible due to COVID and is justified.

The face-to-face courses for students will only resume in September, if the sanitary conditions at that date allow it.

Business resumption plan: the complementary criteria

The return to the site is organized by each component and department. It takes into account many elements:

  • The health reality and the national protocols.
  • Volunteering by each staff member will have expressed to his or her superior until 29 June, subject to operational requirements which may require an earlier return.
  • The resumption of school rhythms and childcare for staff.
  • Means of travel to come to work. People travelling on foot, by bicycle or in a private vehicle will be given priority to resume face-to-face meetings before June 29th.
  • Maintaining the confinement of vulnerable persons or persons whose state of health is not compatible with the sanitary situation - according to the opinion of the health authorities or, failing that, of the prevention physician or the attending physician.
  • The maintenance in confinement of any person experiencing possible symptoms of COVID-19 or in direct contact with persons presenting these symptoms.
  • Compliance with barrier measures and gestures, in particular the rule of social distancing between two agents, andregular hand washing requiring sufficient stocks of soap, hydro-alcoholic gel, cleaning of the premises between shifts in the same office                       and

As you will have understood, the AMU PRA is prudent and takes into account the needs of public service, the willingness of officers to work face-to-face before June 29th and the health measures that are still necessary for everyone.

It is important for everyone to keep positive thoughts and a spirit of solidarity towards our university and our entire community.

Always take great care of yourself.
