Yvon Berland, President of Aix-Marseille University, and Sylvie Daviet, Vice-President in charge of international relations, received on 26 and 27 August the Presidents of the Universities of Greater Tunis: Mr. Fethi Sellaouti, President of the University of Tunis El Manar, Ms. Jouhaina Gherib, President of the University of Manouba, Mr. Habib Sidhom, President of the University of Tunis and Ms. Olfa Benouda Sioud, President of Carthage University.
This visit was in line with the visit of a delegation from Aix-Marseille University to Tunisia last January, during which four cooperation agreements were signed respectively with each of the universities.
The working sessions were devoted to sharing experiences and identifying areas for collaboration in the following areas:
- Structuring of the Human and Social Sciences and interdisciplinarity
- Structuring within the framework of European programmes: H2020/Horizon Europe and Protisvalor
- Structuring of the Directorate of International Relations and Mediterranean Strategy
- Doctoral college and development of thesis cotutelles
- Merger process
- Innovation, technology transfer, entrepreneurship and visit to the Cité de l'Innovation et des savoirs
Tunisia is an important cooperation partner for Aix-Marseille University in terms of training and research.
