Aix-Marseille Université is a partner of UArctic, the cooperation organization in the field of higher education and research in the Arctic area.


Based in Finland, the University of the Arctic (UArctic) is a network of universities, research institutes and other organizations in the fields of education and research dealing with all issues related to the Arctic region.

UArctic builds and strengthens the collective resources and infrastructure that enable member institutions to better collaborate on common Arctic issues.
Through cooperation in research, education and outreach, UArctic builds human capacity in the Arctic and promotes and forges global partnerships. Established by the Arctic Council, UArctic is also committed to the United Nations principles of sustainable development.
