The sounds of speech

Reception of classes from the 5th grade onwards

We talk every day and a lot! And we've been talking since the first years of our lives.
We humans use many parts of the body such as the lungs, larynx, tongue, lips, etc. We play it like an instrument and we are virtuosos!
We are all made in the same way, but we do not all speak the same language (more than 6000 languages in the world). But the machines now know how to imitate us very well...! The workshop will take the form of a short quiz accompanied by sound and visual demonstrations.

Why do we have different voices? Why can some people sing at the opera while others have always sung wrong? In this workshop, we will see how children and adults, men and women, professionals and bad singers sing. And like juries in a singing competition, we will practice evaluating voices!
