To carry out research work or provide university teaching within a component or research unit of Aix-Marseille University, researchers or professors must have a scientific visa.
Hosting Agreement
The arrival of a researcher or teacher-researcher within a research component or unit requires the validation and signature of a hosting agreement between the researcher and Aix-Marseille University.
La component or the host laboratory must approach the International Relations Department to obtain a model agreement, validated by the Préfecture des Bouches-du-Rhône, as well as a standard reception certificate.

Scientific visa
The researcher or teacher-researcher then applies for a scientific visa from the Consulate or the French Embassy of the country of origin.
