Philippe is an Associate Professor of Law (U. Lyon 3) and Director of the Institute of Environmental Law of Lyon (CNRS, UMR 5600, EVS-IDE). Honorary President of the French Society for Environmental Law, he is a member of the French National Council for Nature Protection, Vice-President of the Scientific Council of the Foundation for Research on Biodiversity, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Cevennes National Park.

Anne Cadoret

Lecturer in Geography and Planning, CNRS TELEMMe 7303, Aix-Marseille University
Anne Cadoret is a geographer specializing in the analysis of conflict processes related to the environment, particularly in coastal areas and marine protected areas. She is interested in the causes of conflicts, their mechanisms and their consequences in terms of dynamics of actors, governance and social innovations in a context of socio-environmental changes. She is a member of the Scientific Councils of the Port-Cros National Park and the Prado Reefs of Marseille.

At the University of Washington's School of Marine and Environmental Affairs and the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies Patrick Christie has led a variety of multidisciplinary research programs aimed at identifying factors influencing the success of ocean conservation and the behavior of fishing communities. He has conducted research in Ecuador, Brazil, Central America, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hawaii, and the Pacific Northwest for 25 years.

Xavier Daumalin

Professor of Contemporary History, Director of the UMR CNRS TELEMMe, Aix-Marseille University
All of his research has been devoted to the economic and social history of Mediterranean France in the 19th and 20th centuries, with a strong specialization in the history of the port of Marseille. This research has led to the publication of 22 works - personal (3), collective (11), and co-directed (8) -, 7 journal issues or exhibition catalogs, and 75 articles or book chapters.

Her expertise lies in the area of environmental policy and governance, with a particular focus on controversial policy initiatives, such as creating space for water due to climate change and the designation of new protected areas. She uses mixed methods with a particular interest in behavioral predictive models incorporating spatial and temporal dimensions.

Marie-pierre Lanfranchi

Professor of Public Law at Aix-Marseille University, Member of the Center for International and Community Studies and Research (CERIC, UMR DICE 7318). Her teaching and research activities are focused on public international law. Publications explore issues related to sustainable development and environmental protection in general international law, international trade rules and law of the sea.

Lecturer in Environmental Geosciences at CEREGE. Laetitia Licari conducts her research activities in marine geosciences within the Climate team of CEREGE. She is interested in the understanding of environmental changes in the marine environment at different time scales, from glacial-interglacial variability to the Anthropocene.

PhD, IES, Project Manager, Ocean Sciences Institute, Aix Marseille University. PhD in sustainable development with more than 15 years of experience in the field of design, drafting, implementation and monitoring of European and international cooperation projects (e.g. Erasmus Mundus, Interreg, LIFE coordinator). Expertise in the development and implementation of strategies at EC, national and local level in different fields including education. Specialist in participatory methods and design of evaluation systems and information management.

Pascale Ricard

Research Fellow at CNRS, UMR DICE
Pascale Ricard is a research fellow at the CNRS, attached to the UMR DICE 7318 (CERIC) in international law of the sea and the environment and more particularly in international law of marine biodiversity. She teaches international environmental law, law of the sea, and international economic law at the universities of Aix-Marseille and Jean-Moulin Lyon 3, and is an associate researcher at the latter.

Samuel Robert

Director of the CNRS ESPACE laboratory at Aix Marseille University
Geographer, CNRS researcher and head of the Aix-Marseille University team of the ESPACE laboratory (UMR 7300), his research topics are related to the study of coastal zones and human-environment interactions in the Mediterranean. His fields of interest include land use change, landscape management, land use planning, coastal risks, coastal zone management and territorial dynamics. His work consists of producing and analyzing geographic information to better understand the relationships between societies, the environment and territories. Many of his research projects are based on interdisciplinary studies and involve partnerships between scientists and local actors.

Lecturer in Physical Geography and specialist in coastal geomorphology at Aix-Marseille University, CEREGE. His work (Camargue, PACA, Magreb ect) deals with the morphodynamics of the beach profile, the impact of the sea rise and the development of the coastline in a logic of Nature-based Solutions.

Richard Semperé

Director of the Ocean Sciences Institute Richard Sempéré, PhD, is an oceanographer, marine and atmospheric geochemist, research director at the CNRS and founding director of the Mediterranean Institute of Oceanography (IMO) until 2021. His research focuses on exploring the sources and sinks of natural organic matter in aquatic environments, the intersection of the carbon cycle and microbial communities under conditions of global change. His current research focuses on microplastics and organic contaminants in atmospheric and aquatic systems (PI of the European research project Andromeda dealing with micro- and nanoplastics in the ocean, JPI Ocean). Richard Sempéré has led and/or co-lead many European and national projects such as UVECO, MERMEX, MEDPOP, Blue Pollut and CareMed. He has more than 110 publications.

Eve Truihlé

Director of research at the CNRS at the CERIC. She is the director of the Centre for International and Community Studies and Research (CERIC). She teaches European environmental law and is in charge of the CERIC Environmental Law Clinic. Her current research focuses on environmental litigation, the place of scientific expertise in environmental litigation and the issue of scientific uncertainty.

Laurence Vidal, AMU Professor in Environmental Geosciences. She is in charge of the Master STPE and co-leads the Climate team at CEREGE. She conducts studies in the field of marine and continental paleoclimatology as well as in environmental sciences.
