His work (Camargue, PACA, Magreb ect) deals with the morphodynamics of the beach profile, the impact of the sea rise and the development of the coastline in a logic of Nature-based Solutions.

Richard SemperéDirector of the Ocean Sciences Institute Richard Sempéré, PhD, is an oceanographer, marine and atmospheric geochemist, research director at the CNRS and founding director of the Mediterranean Institute of Oceanography (IMO) until 2021. His research focuses on exploring the sources and sinks of natural organic matter in aquatic environments, the intersection of the carbon cycle and microbial communities under conditions of global change. His current research focuses on microplastics and organic contaminants in atmospheric and aquatic systems (PI of the European research project Andromeda dealing with micro- and nanoplastics in the ocean, JPI Ocean). Richard Sempéré has led and/or co-lead many European and national projects such as UVECO, MERMEX, MEDPOP, Blue Pollut and CareMed. He has more than 110 publications.

Eve TruihléDirector of research at the CNRS at the CERIC. She is the director of the Centre for International and Community Studies and Research (CERIC). She teaches European environmental law and is in charge of the CERIC Environmental Law Clinic. Her current research focuses on environmental litigation, the place of scientific expertise in environmental litigation and the issue of scientific uncertainty. |
