Events - Meeting with researchers

Aix-Marseille University offers its students a wide range of activities and cultural events that punctuate the university year. Science and research enthusiasts will not be outdone since the university has a university science centre and offers original cultural and festive events throughout the year to meet researchers. Street scientific activities, art and science exhibitions, experimentation and research initiation workshops, series of mini-conferences, laboratory and research field visits or even night and thematic meetings with researchers, there is something for everyone!

Students can also actively participate in these highlights by volunteering with the scientific culture team of the university that organizes these events.

Major events

> European Researchers' Night

Scheduled each year on the last Friday of September, this event offers everyone the opportunity to meet researchers and participate in amazing activities. In 2019, the European Researchers' Night will take place on 27 September.

> Thirteen Minutes Marseille

Small, rhythmic, multidisciplinary conferences come back every winter! Six researchers each have 13 minutes to tell their research and lead the audience into an intellectual and friendly gathering.

Science Souk > Science Souk

In spring, ideas and knowledge are exchanged under the tents of the Souk des sciences in the heart of the city. The opportunity to sharpen your curiosity and participate in accessible, fun and participatory experiences offered by the university's researchers.

Science Festival > Science Festival

In the autumn, the national scientific culture event celebrates science through experiments, games and workshops for the general public, organised in many cities in the PACA Region.

Mas des sciences > Mas des sciences

In the autumn and as part of the Science Festival, the city of Carpentras hosts a science village. Workshops, exhibitions, activities and other discoveries are proposed by the researchers for 3 days. This event is co-organized with the Science en Comtat association.
