Anxious to strengthen the feeling of belonging to a community of solidarity, Aix-Marseille Université launched the first edition of the Literary Writing and Creation Prize this year. From March onwards, the entire university community was invited to let its imagination run wild around the theme "A beautiful tomorrow! ». Two competitions were held in parallel: one for students, in partnership with the Oh les beaux jours! literary festival; the other for staff. A ceremony honoured them at the end of the afternoon of Friday June 1_th at the Saint Charles University Library.

This prize was created to encourage student creations that allow them to express their concerns, their expectations and their vision of the future, whether it be around social issues or more intimate questions. This creative and artistic approach has helped bring together people tempted by adventure around a message of hope. Short stories, narratives, comics, graphic novels, poetry, dialogues... The participants gave free rein to their talent while defending the idea of a living literature, open to the world.

Following the opening speeches by Eric Berton, President of Aix-Marseille Université and Fabienne Pavia, Co-Director of the Oh les Beaux jours! festival, the Presidents of the juries Marie Desmeures, Editor at Actes Sud (President of the Student Prize) and Raphaël Imbert, Director of the CNRR Pierre Barbizet (President of the Personal Prize), gave their verdict.
