The official launch of CIVIS, the European Civic University, will take place on Tuesday 19 November in Palazzo Baleani, Rome, Italy. The rectors of the eight partner universities will meet at the University of La Sapienza in Rome to officially launch this highly innovative project.
CIVIS - A European Civic University is an initiative that aims to create a fully-fledged European university through an alliance that brings together eight European universities across Europe: the University of Aix-Marseille (France), the National and Capodistrian University of Athens (Greece), the University of Bucharest (Romania), the Free University of Brussels (Belgium), the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain), the University of Sapienza in Rome (Italy), the University of Stockholm (Sweden) and the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen (Germany).
