Celebration of the 60th anniversary of the IRT

On the occasion of this anniversary, the Institute is organising a study day devoted to "promoting trade union careers and training for employee representatives". Changes in the context of trade union training, the development of employee representation paths, the recognition of experience and skills acquired will thus be presented not only from a legal point of view, but also from a sociological, economic, etc. perspective.

The Institutes of Labour, which had been committed to social emancipation since their creation in the mid-1950s, have since then offered staff representatives the opportunity to find the necessary skills at the university to carry out their mandate.

For simple members of the confederations' senior executives, the training covers a variety of subjects. Because being a trade union activist implies being a holder of solid knowledge acquired within the Labour Institutes. But also, union "work" such as social dialogue in the company cannot be effective without a certain "recognition" of the commitment of its actors.
