Mutations en Méditerranée (MeM) is a multi-disciplinary scientific journal supported by the Institut Sociétés en Mutation en Méditerranée (SoMuM) that analyzes transformations in the Mediterranean space. Managed by doctoral students, it offers young researchers a publication space and a unique opportunity to learn about academic publishing through practice.
For the creation of its second issue, the journal is calling on doctoral students to join its editorial board. Priority is given to doctoral schools ED 355, ED 354 and ED 67, attached to SoMuM partner laboratories (CGGG, CNE, DICE, IDEMEC, IMAF, IREMAM, LEST, LPED, MESOPOLHIS, PRISM, TDMAM, TELEMMe).
As part of SoMuM's Mediterranean Studies doctoral program, this course is designed to introduce doctoral students to the editing of an open-access digital scientific journal, at every stage of the editorial chain, from the drafting of a call for contributions to publication of the issue.
It's also a place to learn about digital publishing through collective workshops led by the editorial team, made up of Adélie Chevée, post-doctoral fellow; Aude-Line Gervais and Thiphaine Le Gauyer, doctoral students and members of the editorial board for the first issue.
