The Assistance publique - Hôpitaux de Marseille (AP-HM) joins the universities of Aix-Marseille Université and Avignon, alongside the CEA, CNRS, IRD, INSERM, INRAE and the three engineering schools (ENSAM, EMSE and ECM) of the site, by joining the activities of the IMPULSE Inter-University Incubator, with the aim of stimulating and promoting innovation, business creation and employment in the Aix-Marseille Academy rectorate.

In the field of innovation and research, Assistance publique - Hôpitaux de Marseille (AP-HM) has for many years been committed to modernization, innovation and research, particularly in the continuous improvement of care paths. These values, anchored in a territorial approach, aim at several strong ambitions dedicated to promoting research and centres of reference and excellence, accompanying changes in hospitalization methods, improving the legibility of its care offer, enhancing the value of care pathways and their communication, with the objective of always seeking the best quality and safety of care.

In this dynamic of innovation and research in health, the adhesion of the Assistance publique - Hôpitaux de Marseille (AP-HM) to the activities of the Impulse incubator is based on the desire to encourage all approaches to the creation of innovative companies likely to provide patients with a better quality of care, but also breakthrough innovations concerning treatments, in a logic of personalized care.

The AP-HM and the incubator have already been working together for ten years, and have contributed to the creation of many innovative young companies such as VECT-HORUS, REMEDEX and, more recently, BYPASS Solutions.

Through this partnership, the Assistance publique - Hôpitaux de Marseille (AP-HM) wishes to accelerate its innovation and research policy, by having the additional support of the incubator to develop the results of its research work towards the creation of "Deep Tech" companies in the fields of health, connected health or artificial intelligence for health.

With this new partnership, the Impulse Inter-University Incubator confirms its desire to unite all public players or public research organizations around common ambitions, such as raising awareness of entrepreneurship, technology transfer or even the creation of innovative companies that contribute to the creation of value and jobs on its site.
