Aix-Marseille Université is a partner of the association Sourire à la vie and supports "La course des flammes" organized on September 26th in the City of Marseille to raise funds for the association and children with cancer.
The Run of the Flames is a charity and family event organized by the association Sourire à la vie in order to raise funds for children suffering from cancer, of which Aix-Marseille Université is a partner.
Take part in this walking course in the city of Marseille!
A multi-sports race accessible to all, where participants run together to bring their flame to children suffering from cancer.
A supportive and friendly event that ends with a festive start to the evening in the presence of exceptional artists, including Grand Corps Malade, the association's sponsor.
The flame race rallies sportsmen, amateurs and professionals who run to bring their flame, symbol of their support, to children suffering from cancer.
From different meeting places, participants will have to walk, run, or paddle to reach a unique gathering point where the finish village will be located on the MUCEM esplanade.
The Run of the Flames closes with the children's show, a flame ceremony and an exclusive concert by our sponsor Grand Corps Malade and his friends.
To participate, the principle is simple:

- Choose a sport discipline (running, walking, paddle or free ride*)
- Challenge your friends and family to reach the goal of 200€ in donations, all of which will be donated to the benefit of the children.
As a reminder, donations made benefit from a tax deduction of 66% for individuals and 60% for companies.
Join the arrival village by choosing your starting point and your discipline! Skateboarding, swimming, cycling or rollerblading, we will all meet in the village to share this evening together in favour of children affected by cancer!
Be reassured, all sanitary measures will be respected to allow you to spend a great day in complete safety!

The association Sourire à la vie
For the past 15 years, Sourire à la vie has been accompanying children suffering from cancer from their hospital room to the outdoors in a medical home with their feet in the water and through big projects and trips. Their main objective is to take care of the life, childhood and dreams of our young warriors by allowing them to live extremely beautiful moments; by keeping them anchored in a child's life - despite the constraints linked to the disease - and by preparing them for daily challenges like high level sportsmen and women.
