Aix-Marseille University (AMU) and the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) have signed an agreement on the creation and operation of the AUF-IMéRA Chair, entitled "Transformations structurelles et dynamiques institutionnelles en Francophonie".

In the presence of Yvon Berland, President of AMU, Jean-Paul de Gaudemar, Rector of AUF, and Denis Bertin, President of IMéRA.
Organized over a three-year academic cycle (2019-2022), the chair "Structural and Dynamic Institutional Transformations in Francophonie" is jointly supported by IMéRA, the Institut d'études avancées d'Aix-Marseille Université, and the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie.
It has for potential study purposes:
- structural transformations and institutional reforms in resource-rich countries;
- infrastructure, inequalities and development;
- socio-political models of inclusiveness and the definition of related reforms;
- structural transformations, educational policies and the employment of young graduates;
- the new models of North/South versus South/South partnership.
The challenge of this chair is to promote expertise in teaching and research around the Francophonie.
