Aix-Marseille Université suspends its activity on X

True to its values of respect, tolerance and humanism, Aix-Marseille Université has decided
to suspend its activity on the social network X (formerly Twitter), because of its editorial
evolution.

By withdrawing from the European code of good practice against misinformation and
modifying its moderation rules, X has become a place where fake news, hateful, illicit or
violent content is propagated. This social network is no longer aligned with our mission of
transmitting knowledge and science, openness to others and tolerance.
Our university is strongly committed to fight against violence and discrimination, as
demonstrated by the creation in 2022, of the Service pour le Respect et l'Égalité (Service
for Respect and Equality).

To keep up to date with Aix-Marseille Université news, we invite you to join us on our other
social networks (Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook) and on the University's website.
