This year marks the 50th anniversary of the faculty of pharmacy, which wished to mark this milestone with an event on Monday, June 27, at 4:00 p.m., on the Marseille Timone Campus in the presence of many personalities with varied backgrounds (philosophy, architecture, entrepreneurship, etc.) who came to share their views on this faculty.

The history of this faculty began in 1972, under the impetus of Dean Charles Grébus. It is part of the emblematic achievements of René Egger, a talented architect whose achievements have had an impact on the city of Marseille. Following the autonomization of the teaching of pharmaceutical sciences, the faculty of pharmacy of Marseille is one of the first faculties built de novo, with a unique location in the heart of the city.
Since then, the faculty has been able to develop quality training and high-level research leading to the training of more than 10,000 pharmacists and the production of innovations in Health. "We wish to pay tribute to the women and men who make the faculty the institution it is today. The objective is to bear witness to the path we have taken and to step back from the major developments on topics such as our real estate assets, the training of our students, discoveries in health and the transformation of the pharmacy professions. Synergy with other health professions, partnerships with local authorities and the socio-economic world, and international outreach will also be highlighted. On this occasion, It will also be presented the new transformation project of the faculty of pharmacy, initiated by obtaining the State Recovery Plan, for a more sustainable and energy efficient faculty, expresses, the dean Françoise Dignat-George and her teams, fifty years later.
This celebration will be an opportunity to (re)discover the faculty through an exhibition in its great hall and conferences bringing crossed views - Pierre Le Coz (Philosopher), Thierry Durousseau (Architect-historian), Hervé Brailly (biotech entrepreneur), Stéphane Pichon (President Regional President of the Order of Pharmacists), José Sampol (Professor Emeritus of the Faculty of Pharmacy), Célia Oculi (Pharmacist "Personalized Medicine" at Roche), Pascal Rathelot (Vice-Dean Pedagogy) and Jean-Paul Borg (Vice-Dean Research), all accompanied by the DeepSoMan group.
