In the current period of the Covid-19 epidemic, the implementation of the "test, alert, protect" strategy is accompanied by extensive screening campaigns to identify and break the chains of contamination as quickly as possible.
In this context, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Regional Health Agency (ARS) and the Southern Region are mobilising for the benefit of students and are deploying an antigenic screening programme (with rapid results) coupled with preventive actions on compliance with barrier gestures. 21 operations in university residences are concerned in the Alpes-Maritimes, Bouches-du-Rhône, Var and Vaucluse.
The association La Croix Blanche will carry out these screenings on the sites of the Crous collective accommodation residences thanks to the financial support of the Southern Region and the provision by the ARS Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur of 25 000 antigenic tests from the state stock. The aim of this scheme is to offer mobile screening campaigns on the various sites to reach a large population and thus rapidly detect cases of symptomless COVID-19, which are frequent among the youngest. These campaigns will take place before and after the Christmas holidays to protect students and their families.
