AMPIRIC has obtained funding of 9.9 million euros over the next 10 years.

AMPIRIC's challenge: to improve the performance of students, especially those with difficulties, in their learning of fundamental knowledge throughout their school career by developing, experimenting and disseminating innovative teaching approaches based on digital technologies. The aim is to strengthen networking between the field, training and research. All of the cluster's actions are designed with this in mind, based in particular on communities of practice between teaching teams, research teams in laboratories and production teams in companies.

The project has five strategic objectives:

  • Transforming teacher training and support to help teachers change their practices in the face of challenges related to fundamental learning.
  • Encourage research-field cooperation by supporting action-research and by fostering communities of practice.
  • To improve our understanding of the teaching-learning processes of fundamental knowledge by supporting basic research, finalised by the needs of education and training.
  • To co-produce tools and applications for fundamental learning within a CréativLab
  • Disseminate and promote educational resources on fundamental learning. Five actions make it possible to operationalize these five objectives.

The evaluation and measurement of the impact of the AMPIRIC demonstrator is based on a double longitudinal follow-up: on the one hand, a follow-up of students' learning performance and, on the other hand, a follow-up of the teaching profession throughout their professional life, from the entry into the first year of the bachelor's degree to the continuing education of practising professionals.
Initially, the project will be tested in 8 academic networks comprising 535 elementary schools, 97 middle schools, 48 high schools (general and technological, vocational and multi-skilled) and 3 vocational campuses of the Aix-Marseille academy. It will then be extended to the 13 other academic networks, the PACA academic region and the Inspé de l'académie of
Nice.
