Board - Institute for Cancer and Immunology (ICI)

The institute is administered by an Institute Council whose responsibilities are as follows:

Role - missions

The role of the Institute Council is to administer the institute by managing its major orientations.

General missions :

• to propose the appointment of a scientific and technical manager (RST) from among the teacher-researchers and researchers assigned to the units and components making up the institute (the RST is appointed by the President of the University after the advice of the Academic Council for a 5-year term, renewable once),
• to approve the annual reports presented by the Scientific and Technical Officer,
• approve the scientific evaluations of the Scientific and Training Advisory Board (STAB),
• to adopt the budget on the proposal of the Scientific and Technical Officer and to monitor its implementation,
• adopt the previous regulations and ensure their implementation,
• to propose the educational and research programmes, within the framework of the Cancer & Immunology label, and to monitor their application,
• to approve the inclusion of new academic and industrial partners in the Institute's projects,
• to approve the list of students admitted to the Institute's programs,
• approve the content and implementation of international programs.

Composition:

The Institute Council is composed of voting members in two colleges:

• College 1, comprising the deans (or their representatives) of the science, medicine and pharmacy departments,
• College 2, comprising the laboratory directors (or their representatives) CRCM, CIML, TAGC, INP, C2VN, IBDM.

The following also attend the Council meeting in an advisory capacity

• the scientific and technical manager of the institute, President of the Council
• the Institute's Deputy Director of Training
• the Institute's Deputy Research Director,
• the Institute's project manager,
• the assistant director of the institute,
• the directors of the college and the doctoral school(ED62)
• the director general of theIPC,
• the general director of theAP-HM,
• the Clip²managers of the IPC and the AphM,
• a representative of the AMU, IBiSA, PIA and biobank platforms,
• a representative of the industrial partners within Marseille Immunopole and Eurobiomed(AB Sciences, Beckman Coulter, Dynabio, Halio Dx, Imcheck Therapeutics, Innate Pharma),
• a representative from the technology transfer sector(SATT-SE, Inserm Transfert, Protisvalor),
• the general secretary of Cancéropole paca,
• two representatives of civil society (one patient, one student),
• the heads of training in integrative biology and physiology, bioinformatics, structural biology and genomics, immunology, health biology and health engineering.

The Council meets at least twice a year.
