The International Summer School Methods and Challenges in Public Health Sciences is organized by ISSPAM and its members from the various Research Units of the Institute.
The aim of this interdisciplinary approach is to train students to understand, analyze and explain public health problems in the North and the South. It includes theoretical, practical and participatory teaching in different fields using qualitative and quantitative methods in public health sciences.
The program offers an opening plenary conference on a cross-cutting theme in public health sciences, bringing together internationally recognised personalities dealing with major future issues in public health, and 11 thematic training modules, some of which are taught in English, to be chosen à la carte.
Although the ISSPAM summer school is a face-to-face event, it is organised in hybrid mode for almost all of its content.
It is intended for Master's or Doctorate level students as well as for all professionals wishing to acquire new knowledge or new skills or wishing to improve their skills. Students who have followed modules of the summer school and who are subsequently admitted to a course offered by ISSPAM may benefit from recognition of their prior learning, subject to the decision of the course director in question. Doctoral students who have attended the summer school modules could validate a certain number of disciplinary hours of their training contract, subject to the decision of the head of the enrolling ED.
The acceptance of an application to the modules may be subject to pre-requisites. After studying the applications, you will receive information concerning your final registration. The pedagogical resources will be available on the pedagogical platform of the summer school. Please note that the opening of the modules depends on the number of registrations.
Some scientific, participative or convivial events will be organized during the summer school in order to favour and optimise meetings and exchanges between researchers and experts in public health sciences and you, the participants.
