Executive Summary

The AMPIRIC project (Aix-Marseille - Pôle d'Innovation, de Recherche, d'Enseignement pour l'Education), winner of the France 2030 investment program, is one of the six structuring projects of Aix-Marseille Université that support its strategy of transformation of training, research and innovation. It is financed by the Caisse des dépôts et des Consignations for a period of 10 years (2020-2030).

The cluster aims to improve the learning of fundamental knowledge of students throughout their school career, especially those who are in difficulty. AMPIRIC is based on the development of innovative research to better inform the evolution of initial and continuing teacher training, and to develop, experiment with and disseminate new pedagogical approaches.

AMPIRIC relies on an interdisciplinary scientific perimeter composed of 22 laboratories and develops :
- collaborative research, co-constructed with educational teams to respond to concerns in the field
- research in partnership with private companies, to promote the emergence of innovative teaching tools, whether or not they are based on digital technologies
- fundamental research, to develop new scientific knowledge and to support the transformation of teaching practices

The AMPIRIC ecosystem is thus based on a better articulation between research, training and the field, in order to create virtuous circles of knowledge production and transfer, and to promote the deployment of a dynamic of communities of practice, with the aim of improving learning for all.

AMPIRIC 's actions evolve in three areas, which are divided into priority axes, thus encouraging exchanges in order to achieve its objectives.
