Why take part in Erasmus+?
Taking part in the Erasmus+ program not only enables you to acquire academic skills, but also to develop personal and professional qualities that are valued on the job market. The Erasmus+ program offers a unique experience, a chance to discover a new culture and improve language skills, while pursuing a high-quality academic course in an international environment.
This program, financed by the European Commission, enables students to study at a partner university without having to pay tuition fees, and also to receive a grant during their study or internship mobility.

The priorities of the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 program
Erasmus+ is changing! The 2021-2027 program focuses on 4 main priorities, for a more inclusive, responsible and forward-looking mobility:
1. Inclusion & diversity:
Erasmus+ is open to all student profiles, without exception. They can go on a long-term mobility program if their course of study allows it, or benefit from international experience through short-term mobility programs.
The program encourages mobility for all, including students with disabilities, from rural areas, or facing economic or social difficulties.
2. Ecological transition:
Erasmus+ also encourages eco-responsible behavior by supporting you with additional financial aid if you choose eco-responsible mobility! You can reduce your ecological impact by choosing sustainable transport (train, bus, carpool or bike).
3. Digital transition:
Erasmus+ supports the development of digital skills and offers hybrid mobility formats (Blended Intensive Program (BIP)) with :
- Distance learning
- Virtual collaborations
- International online projects
4. European citizenship:
The program encourages the active participation of young people in European democratic life.
The aim? To develop committed citizens who are open to other cultures and embody the values of Europe!
Erasmus+ and ecology: greener mobility for Europe
For an Erasmus+ that looks to the future of the planet: the program is actively committed to the ecological transition, integrating principles of environmental sustainability into its actions. Because studying or doing an internship abroad also means learning to travel more responsibly!
Green objectives for a sustainable future:
The Erasmus+ program is aligned with the Green Pact for Europe and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Its green commitments include:
- Reducing the carbon footprint of mobility
- Encouraging sustainable transport (train, bus, carpooling, cycling)
- Supporting educational projects on sustainable development
- Promoting greener lifestyles among young Europeans
Concrete examples of green Erasmus projects:
⮕"GreenErasmus": an ecological awareness-raising project in European universities.
⮕"GoGreen Mobility": a pilot program for train-only mobility throughout Europe.
⮕"EcoVolunteers": volunteer missions focused on protecting biodiversity.
The Erasmus+ Student Charter
The Erasmus+ Student Charter is a reference document that provides a framework for your international mobility experience. It specifies your rights (access to information, financial support, academic recognition, equal treatment) and duties (compliance with rules, academic commitment, feedback).
This charter applies to every stage of your mobility - before, during and after your stay - and aims to guarantee a high-quality, fair, transparent and inclusive experience.
It also encourages personal responsibility, involvement in local life and respect for European values such as diversity, solidarity and eco-responsibility.
