International cooperation is a major focus for Aix Marseille Université. It is based on academic and scientific partnerships throughout the world, promoting mobility and the sharing of knowledge. It contributes to strengthening research and training on major global issues.

Setting up an international training project

The Strategic Projects and Networks Unit of the International Relations Department (DRI) supports the scientific community in setting up and launching international training projects. The team that makes up this unit is at the service of amU's various components. It acts as a facilitator during the application process and the launch of winning projects, which can be developed from bachelor to doctorate level.

Europe at amU

Located at the heart of Mediterranean Europe, amU is a major player in higher education, fully committed to European dynamics. Its sustained involvement in the Erasmus+ program, its participation in numerous collaborative research projects on a European scale, and the development of strategic partnerships all contribute to strengthening mobility, innovation and academic influence within its territory and beyond.

Erasmus+ is the European Union's training and education funding program for the period 2021-2027.

Aix Marseille Université has been an active participant in the Erasmus+ program since its inception, both in terms of mobility and cooperation. Erasmus+ projects offer real opportunities for the development of new international partnerships, particularly in the context of the European Civic University - CIVIS.

At European level, amU's research strategy is implemented through several types of action:

  • Development of institutional research cooperation;
  • Active participation in European framework programs (Horizon Europe and European sectoral programs);
  • Involvement in numerous other European and international programs.
