At Aix Marseille University, student commitment is more than just a word: it's an experience, a lever for action, a collective force that transforms campuses and society as a whole.

Getting involved means turning your convictions into concrete action. It means defending solidarity, sustainable development, equality and culture. And it also means developing essential skills: 91% of recruiters believe that soft skills are just as important as technical skills. (Parlons RH December 2025)

THE STUDENT COMMITMENT BONUS

Commitment can mean a bonus of up to +0.5 points on the average! In 2025, this bonus means :

  • 461 students active in student associations.
  • 309 middle and high school students from priority neighborhoods or rural areas mentored by students.
  • 416 students who have supported students with disabilities and top-level athletes.

THE COMMITMENT UNIVERSITY DIPLOMA

A diploma to formalize and deepen your experience with :

  • 122 registrants in 2025-2026 (64% women, 36% men)
  • 88% student satisfaction in 2024-2025
  • 46% of assignments in civic associations, 41% in student associations

FSDIE FINANCING

A cultural, sports, social or environmental project? In 2024-2025, the FSDIE distributed €850,000 for 380 projects financed out of 418 files supported.

Projects can be aimed at developing a student volunteer initiative, particularly in one or more of these areas: cultural, sporting, social, health and disability, educational, civic, environmental or humanitarian. They may also involve training students in the various areas of student representation and community life.

Throughout the year, amU organizes a number of events to help you discover commitment: the Festival de l'engagement at the start of the academic year, Cap étudiants (Campus en fête on March 19, 2026), and a wide range of civic initiatives (world cafés, photo competitions, "mon action en 180 secondes" videos).

La Contribution de Vie Étudiante et de Campus (CVEC)

La CVEC est une participation financière obligatoire demandée aux étudiantes et étudiants inscrits dans un établissement d’enseignement supérieur. Elle doit être réglée chaque année avant l’inscription administrative.
