This commitment reflects the richness and diversity of our community. It unites us around the values that define the SUL’s identity: sharing, mutual support, openness, and the exchange between languages and cultures.
Each initiative thus helps make the SUL a vibrant and welcoming place, at the heart of French language learning within the framework of the University Diploma in French Language and Culture.

Student Engagement Charter
The engaged student strives to:
* Show solidarity, act responsibly, and be an active participant in campus life;
* Actively engage in their chosen mission with dedication and consistency;
* Contribute to the collective life of the SUL and to the promotion of cultural diversity;
* Upholding the values of Aix-Marseille University: respect, inclusion, commitment, and secularism.
What types of activities are recognized?
The following, in particular, may be considered:
* Organizing events centered on culture and languages: theme days, film screenings, international cuisine dinners, etc.;
* Involvement in a student organization or the Student Union (BDE);
* Serving as a DU LCF class representative;
* Serving on the city’s Student Council for one year (3 meetings);
* Active participation in the SUL Student Union (periodic training sessions);
* Carrying out projects in collaboration with faculty, as part of courses or workshops organized outside of class;
* Participation in activities organized by Aix-Marseille University outside the SUL: booths, student career fairs, forums, contests, workshops, and meetings with authors, Book Club, calls for artists, etc.;
* Providing language or intercultural tutoring;
* Creating content: posters, social media posts, and videos, as well as helping to share information on the SUL’s Instagram account and WhatsApp channel;
* Welcoming new students, particularly during Orientation Week;
* Serving as SUL ambassadors;
* Representing students in student life committees;
* Solidarity initiatives: fundraising, support, or assistance provided to students in need;
* Projects that help promote the SUL: outreach, welcoming new students, communication, etc.;
* Initiatives related to the Arts and Letters program;
* Leading one or more conversation workshops in their native language at an amU Language Center;
* Participation in the SUL choir, the theater club, OSAMU, etc.;
* Participation in the “Engagement” university diploma (DU) – DVEC.
