What are the International Student Service Desks?
On-campus Welcome Officers are here to help you settle in France and navigate the administrative process! They are your primary points of contact for personalized assistance with the administrative procedures you need to complete upon your arrival in France (registration, visa, housing, health, insurance, bank account, financial aid, university services, transportation, etc.):
- Assistance with paying the CVEC
- Online procedures for visas and residence permits
- Information and assistance with finding housing, student jobs, and internships
- Scheduling appointments for chest X-rays and medical consultations with the SSE
- Assistance with enrolling in health insurance through the platform for international students and assistance with applying for the C2S (CPAM)
- Assistance with enrolling in mandatory and supplemental insurance through student insurance companies
- Assistance with opening a bank account
- Assistance with registering with the CAF to apply for personalized housing assistance (APL)
- Assistance with contacting various internal amU services or local resources:
University Student Health and Disability Service (SSE) / Sports Service (SUAPS) / Student Life and Campus Affairs Office (DVEC) / University Integration and Orientation Service (SUIO) / CROUS, etc. - Support with settling into the local area
- Information on transportation options and student pass subscriptions with Aix en Bus and the RTM
