Presentation of the International University Diploma
Aix Marseille Université's first University Diploma dedicated to promoting students' international commitment, its objectives are to :
- Recognize their ability to mobilize and adapt their knowledge and skills, both disciplinary and cross-disciplinary, in a variety of cultural contexts
- Consolidate the international dimension of their academic and/or personal careers, through the development of specific international knowledge and skills.
The DU International is a reinforced course that complements students' initial training. It is available free of charge.
Public and prerequisites
The DU International is aimed at students already enrolled in a course at Aix Marseille Université, regardless of their course of study.
However,a few prerequisites are required:
- be enrolled in a L2 / BUT 2 or M1 course
- Demonstrate a marked interest in international affairs
- Proof of experience abroad and/or in an international context.
Duplication structure
Assessment procedures :
- Validation of activities eligible for the DU International is carried out via a study contract.
- Validation of this diploma entitles the holder to 24 ECTS credits.
- Validation of prior learning (VAC) may be granted as part of this diploma.
/ Please note : Validation des Acquis (VAC) may only be granted to students who have completed activities or courses (for which no ECTS credits have been awarded and which correspond to the expectations of the program) between the time they obtained their baccalauréat and the time they enter the program.
Pace :
- Students must complete the entire diploma within a maximum of 2 years.
- The International DU must be taken within the same study cycle: it is not possible to start the diploma in the bachelor's program and finish it in the master's program.
Activities eligible for DU
The DU International officially recognizes and valorizes students' experience:
- Carried out abroad or in an international context
- Carried out during their studies at Aix Marseille Université or before, after the baccalauréat.
/Please note : activities for which ECTS credits have already been awarded as part of another degree cannot be credited in the DU International.
