What is UArctic?
Based in Finland, the University of the Arctic (UArctic) is a network of universities, research institutes and other organizations in the fields of education and research dealing with all issues related to the Arctic region.
UArctic builds and strengthens collective resources and infrastructures that enable member institutions to collaborate more effectively on common Arctic issues.
Through cooperation in research and education, as well as awareness-raising, UArctic builds human capacity in the Arctic, and promotes and forges global partnerships. Created by the Arctic Council, UArctic is also committed to the United Nations' principles of sustainable development.

Aix Marseille Université has joined UArctic's extensive network of over 160 members, mainly from the following countries and regions: Europe, Canada, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, USA, China.
